Our brain consists of nearly 86 billion neurons which are delicate and gives us the capacity to think and reason whilst controlling all the vital parts in our body.

These neurons can be permanently damaged with continuous and long term alcohol abuse and added to that whilst imbibing in abuse normal chores which could be performed with ease would be impaired and many functions could be difficult to perform.

Keeping balance and walking can be very difficult and speech becomes slurred, fingers tremble and holding objects would be a very tough activity.

A person with alcohol in the system reacting to very easy situations, especially those that were performed without any difficulty, while there was no alcohol abuse would now be difficult too.

All these would happen because the brain is taking the toll for the excess content of alcohol running through the brain and if such a situation is a permanent feature then there is no second thoughts, the brain is sure to suffer damage sooner than later.

Memory which is directly linked to the brain would also suffer as the retention power would drastically reduce and working on machinery would need to be avoided as serious injury could occur.

There are also other effects that alcohol can cause to the brain like the difficulty to focus on normal and easy matters like holding a simple conversation would become a very arduous task.

In the case of the two sexes women are more affected rather than men when they resort to heavy regular drinking because they have a less capacity to stand the affects of alcohol in their bodies.

It is because the brain is a delicate organ that it is naturally encased in a hard shell like structure we call the skull and without external damage we are creating internal damage by imbibing in excessive alcohol consumption which is abuse and nothing else.

Blackouts are common in those who drink excessively especially large quantities quickly and on an empty stomach which could also cause damage to the digestive system and the sudden surge in alcohol levels in the brain could permanently damage sensitive cells in the brain.

It is the blood circulatory system that takes the alcohol directly to the brain and a continuous flow of alcohol laden blood through the 86 billion neurons would not sound too well for the brain.

There is also the other major factor that most alcohol drinkers tend to forget, there is a hereditary issue where genetic compositions could affect functions of the brain and those who have a history of having slow reactions to general tasks as the brain reaction is slow could aggravate this situation and create unnecessary problems for them that could affect their brains causing permanent damage.

The brain is very sensitive to upheavals and it is our fervent duty to ensure that it is in 100{d23fb76a351d06c0e1e54eec3facd393bfb36d5bfe0daa18747908a9da2a1644} working order and by alcohol abuse we are not helping the brain nor us too.
