To help with diagnosing and identifying areas in need of treatment, clients participate in brain mapping at 1 time a month or more, and they are provided feedback on their results. Clients partake in this technology by using a cap that is placed on the scalp to capture the electrical impulses in the brain. This method is known as an electroencephalogram (EEG). The results show brain wave patterns in different parts of the brain. The process takes about 15 minutes, and the data is then converted into a visual brain map report.
The brain map report is analyzed by a Licensed Neuropsychologist, and any problem areas are identified to help with treatment. The report will display the results in a clear and concise format that can be easily understood. Clients are able to explore how their brains work, and they can continue to receive brain mapping to identify as to how they are improving through therapy and abstinence from drug and alcohol misuse. This is a useful tool to address symptoms and diagnoses and what issues need to be addressed to help with emotional and mental wellness.
